Homicide Sgt. John O’Connor is sworn in on July 3 at the Harris County Criminal Courthouse for the death of Jamar Clark, whose body was recovered from the River Oaks neighborhood in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 9, 2014. Jamar was killed on Aug. 29, 2014, when gunmen opened fire on a car at an apartment complex in East Austin. One of the suspects involved in the fatal shooting of Jamar is in jail now, charged with second-degree murder.
